Sunday School
PRIMETIME CHILDREN’S SUNDAY SCHOOLCCRM “Primetime” Sunday School is for children ages 4 – 9 years old. The curriculum used for this class is Gospel Light’s “PrimeTime” edition. The PrimeTime curriculum allows children to explore Bible stories and verses that they are able to understand and recall. Children learn that God wants our trust and obedience, which leads to Jesus, their Savior. This spring we are studying the adventures from Jesus' Stories: Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and Acts.
Primetimers learn through stories, games, crafts, and interactive activities.
MIDDLERS SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS
CCRM “Middlers” class is for children ages 10-13. The curriculum used this past year is Gospel Light’s “The EDGE”. Lessons include Friendship-What it means to be a friend of God, and Obedience and Trust in God. The class studied and memorized various scripture verses, and learned about The Bible-what it is, how to use it, and the books of the Bible. This spring we focused on learning about prayer-How to pray, when to pray, why we pray, and memorized the Lord’s Prayer. We also are studying the importance and meaning of the church’s 2 sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
JR./SR. HIGH CLASS
In today’s world, it is more important than ever to supply our young people with the tools they will need to make good spiritual decisions. With that in mind, our Junior/Senior High Sunday School class has studied scriptures to help them remember God’s promises and to make them better servants in the world. They have explored Christian music and are excited about attending “Ignite Chicago”; a Christian music festival being held in Schaumburg this July. In the fall, they are looking forward to learning about their spiritual armor and how to wear it to serve God.
