Bible Studies

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right. -- 2 Timothy 3:16

At Community Church, we recognize that worship alone is not enough to satisfy God's purpose for us.  To help us to more fully understand what we need to do to bring us to a closer relationship with Him, we must study the scriptures and their meaning.

We currently offer three Bible study opportunities.

Women's Weekly Bible Study  Our longest running group, the Women's Weekly Bible Study meets on Mondays at 1:00pm in the Fireside Room. The group utilizes both life application studies and book by book bible studies. Recent studies include Max Lucado’s study on the book of Ephesians, and Women of Faith’s study “Discovering God’s Will for Your Life”.

Faith Lift Women's Bible Study Group  This small group meets every other Monday evening from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. in the Fireside Room. This group provides an opportunity for women to grow individually in their relationship with Jesus, as well as being encouraged in their faith journey by one another. What we share and pray about in our group is confidential and stays within the group. We learn together, pray together, and support one another.

Men’s Bible Study And Support Group  So much is required of men today. In a time of changing expectations and shifting roles, it is good to have a voice of consistency … God’s voice. Our Men’s Bible Study And Support Group, which meets every other Monday evening at 7:00, examines the “big” issues of life: integrity, anger, stress, commitment, moral purity, destiny, etc. In a man’s environment, with insight, humor, and the Scriptures as our guide, we explore our attitudes, actions, and responses, and arrive at practical conclusions. (The Proverbs 1:3-4)
